I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
